I remember having my first white peach sangria at either Longhorns or TGI Fridays for happy hour way back in the day, and I was hooked! It was so fresh and so sweet and went down way too easily… as sangrias tend to do.
I’ve tried my best to recreate their summer peach sangria, and to be honest I think mine is better!
Maybe I’m a little biased though, since I love to add my own twists when making cocktails.
Ingredients for easy white peach sangria
- A crisp white wine – an unoaked Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc are great.
- Peach nectar – you can also use store-bought or homemade peach juice if nectar can’t be found. Or, you can puree your own fresh peaches, like I’ve done in this recipe.
- Peach whiskey – ever since Crown Royal released their peach whiskey a few years ago, we’ve had multiple bottles in our home at any given time. It’s incredible alone, and enhances the flavor of this sangria perfectly!
- Orange liqueur – for a little kick of sweet citrus.
- Agave nectar – we like to use agave to sweeten our cocktails because of the taste and lower calorie count, but you can definitely use simple syrup, too.
- Fresh peaches – can’t make a good peach sangria without these!
- Fresh lemons – sliced up and added just for that sangria look.
- Sparkling water – you can leave this out, but I love a little bubbly sparkle in my sangria. Try using a flavored one just for funsies.
- Fresh mint – the prettiest garnish!

Tips for making sangria
- Don’t have or like whiskey? Substitute a peachy brandy or peach schnapps in its place.
- Like your sangria super sweet? Just add a bit more sweetener while tasting, being mindful of the other sweet ingredients in the pitcher. If your peaches aren’t super ripe, you may want to add more sweetener, as well. Just remember – you can always add more. but you can’t take it out!
- Refrigerate the non-alcoholic ingredients before making this sangria! Adding a little ice before serving is fine, but making sure everything is chilled first means less watered down sangria. To take it a step further, freeze some of your peach slices and add them when serving – they will act as ice cubes in your glass!
How to make white peach sangria
Making peach sangria isn’t at all difficult! I’ve made sangria using other stone fruit in the past, but this one is strictly for peach lovers!
You can use bottled peach nectar (typically found on the juice or ethnic food aisle) or you can even make your own peach nectar like I did for this recipe.
Either way this is a perfect summer drink everyone will love!
Quick and easy peach “nectar”
- Wash 3 peaches, peeling them if desired.
- Cut them in half, remove the pits, and place them in a blender of food processor with a few tablespoons of water.
- Puree until smooth, then strain the puree into a bowl through a fine mesh sieve, discarding any solids.
To make the sangria…
- Pour the white wine, peach nectar, peach whiskey, orange liqueur, and sweetener of choice into a large pitcher.
- Add the peach and lemon slices. Stir well, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or up to 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove the lemon slices, as the rind tends to make the sangria bitter.
- When you’re ready to serve, fill glasses 3/4 full with sangria, then splash in the sparkling water. Serve over ice if desired, garnished with mint.
Love sangria? I’ve got one for every season! Whether it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter, there’s a perfect blend of wine and fruit for you to enjoy. Try a pitcher of this pretty, patriotic sangria for all those sizzling summer holidays! And when it cools down, a warm mulled apple cider sangria is the way to go.
FAQ
Can I use frozen peaches instead of fresh ones?
Absolutely! Frozen peaches can be a convenient option for making peach sangria, and even the nectar. I recommend thawing them before use, and adjusting the sweetener accordingly, as frozen peaches tend to be sweeter.
Which types of wine taste the best in peach sangria?
Lighter white wines or rosé are commonly used in peach sangria. Go for the crisp, fruity whites; Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, or sweet Moscato complement the flavors of peaches well.
Can I make a non-alcoholic sangria?
You can create non-alcoholic peach sangria by substituting the wine and liquor with white grape juice or sparkling water.
Can I add more fruit to this sangria?
Of course! The base recipe is very peach-forward, but you can add more fruit to add even more color and subtle flavor. Try including sliced strawberries, oranges or lime wheels, fresh cherries, or pineapple bits.
