1bottle white winePinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
1cuppeach nectarstrained
⅓cuppeach whiskey
¼cuporange liqueur
¼cupagave nectaror simple syrup
2-3large fresh peacheswashed, pitted, and sliced
1lemonthinly sliced (optional)
1cupsparkling water
Fresh mintfor garnish (optional)
Instructions
Peach Nectar
Wash 3 peaches, peeling them if desired. Cut them in half, remove the pits, and place them in a blender of food processor with a few tablespoons of water. Puree until smooth, then strain the puree into a bowl through a fine mesh sieve, discarding any solids.
Peach Sangria
Pour the white wine, peach nectar, peach whiskey, orange liqueur, and sweetener of choice into a large pitcher.
Add the peach and lemon slices. Stir well, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours, or up to 24 hours. After 24 hours, remove the lemon slices, as the rind tends to make the sangria bitter.
When ready to serve, fill glasses 3/4 full with sangria, then splash in the sparkling water. Serve over ice if desired, garnished with mint.
Notes
Consume remaining sangria within 2 days; be sure to remove the lemon slices after the first 24 hours, otherwise they'll make the sangria bitter.
