Cucumber Grapefruit Basil Mojito #SundaySupper

Citrusy, earthy, and not too sweet, this refreshing spring cocktail is perfect for lounging and enjoying the weather no matter where you live!

Serves 1 mojito     adjust servings

  • 1-inch cucumber, peeled
  • 5-6 basil leaves, torn
  • 1/2 lime, quartered
  • 1 1/2-inch grapefruit slice, halved
  • 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice
  • Crushed ice
  • 2 ounces light rum
  • 2 ounces lemon-lime or club soda
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced (garnish)
  • Lime wedges (garnish)
  • 1 slice grapefruit, quartered (garnish)
  • Basil leaves (garnish)


  1. Add cucumber and basil to a cocktail shaker; muddle gently with a cocktail muddler, pestle, or the back of a spoon. Add lime and grapefruit wedges and sugar, muddling them gently as well to release juices.
  2. Add lime and grapefruit juices to shaker. Fill to top with crushed ice, cover, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Double strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Top with rum and soda, and garnish as desired with ingredients (You can also add the contents of the cocktail shaker if you'd rather not cut up more fruit - it works just as well!)
  4. Pop in a straw, kick back, and enjoy!
