Hey there, food lovers, and welcome to The Crumby Cupcake!
I’ve been on the internet for a long time. Close to 20 years, in fact, when I was in junior high, slogging through HTML to create an X-Files fan site on GeoCities (Yep. I’m serious).
My, how times have changed.
I’ve always loved writing, and I’ve always loved food and desserts (especially cupcakes!), but I can honestly say, I never once thought I’d try starting a food blog. Over the years, I’ve collected recipes, adjusted flavors, shared with friends and family, and gotten feedback that has been invaluable to me as a baker and chef. As I’ve grown older, gotten married (to my wonderful, supportive Mr. Crumby), and am on the verge of starting a little family, I’ve come to appreciate my kitchen (and the things that come out of it) much more.
I’m creating my tiny corner in the food blogging world to share my creations and my joy (and my photography!) with anyone who is interested in using them to make their lives a little brighter and more delicious. I have plenty of inspiration to draw on, and lots of good stories up my sleeve, so please make my desserts for your kids and sweethearts! Cook my entrees for your families! Leave your feedback and let me know your thoughts on what you’ve tried, or plan to try. Every recipe, success or failure, contains a lesson to makes you a better cook, and that is what I strive to be, for myself and my family.
Now that I’ve written way too much, I’ll close up with a thank you; for checking out this blog, for trying my food, for (hopefully!) coming back in the future, and sharing with your friends. I truly hope that I can inspire you to create delicious food and live happy lives by sharing my joys, both in the kitchen and out.
