Perfect for the dog days of summer, this Blueberry Watermelon Agua Fresca recipe is a supremely refreshing, simple, fruit-infused drink that will cool you down faster than you can say its name! (It's also easily turned into a tasty cocktail, if you're so inclined!)

Ingredients
¼large watermeloncubed
2 ½cupscold waterdivided
½cuplime juicefreshly squeezed
2-3tablespoonsgranulated sugaror to taste
½cupblueberriesplus more for garnish
20mint leavesplus more for garnish
Lime slicesfor garnish
Watermelon slicesfor garnish
Instructions
Place watermelon cubes, 1/2 cup water, and lime juice in a blender and puree until smooth. Add sugar to taste, blending well.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve set over a medium bowl. Use a rubber spatula to press the solids against the strainer, the extract all of the liquid. Discard the solids.
Pour the liquid into a large pitcher and add 1-2 cups cold water. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Divide blueberries and mint into 4 glasses, then gently crush with a cocktail muddler. Fill each glass with ice and divide agua fresca between them.
Garnish with a few whole blueberries, mint sprigs, and a thin watermelon wedge, if desired.
Notes
This recipe can be easily multiplied for more servings.To make this agua fresca alcoholic: Replace half of the added water in step 3 with an equal amount of clear liquor, such as vodka, tequila, or white rum.
